Challenge

A fund with global ambition, in need of a brand to match

Global Masters Fund has been compounding wealth for Australian investors since 2006. With over 15 years of performance history and a portfolio anchored by Berkshire Hathaway and other London and Johannesburg-listed equities, the fund's credentials were beyond question. Its digital presence was not. The challenge was to do three things simultaneously: communicate a sophisticated investment strategy in plain, accessible language; surface the depth of data that institutional and retail investors expect; and deliver an experience that felt contemporary, considered, and genuinely easy to navigate. The brief to Somma was clear redesign the site from the ground up, with UI/UX strategy and web development working in lockstep to produce something that reflected the quality of the fund itself.

Strategy-led design, built for investor confidence.

Somma began with a thorough UX audit and information architecture review, mapping the friction points that prevented key audiences from finding what they needed. From there, we developed a restrained, institutional visual identity and built a fast, responsive website with custom components designed to handle GFL's regulatory content requirements, including ASX announcements, annual reports and investment disclosures, in a format that is compliant, navigable and clear for all investor types.

Results

A refined identity that reflects decades of disciplined investing

The result is a visual identity and website that communicates trust, precision and global perspective, fitting for a fund that has delivered consistent long-term capital growth for its shareholders since 2006. Investors now arrive at a site that guides them clearly through complex financial content, from strategy and governance through to ASX announcements and annual reports, with a contemporary design that reflects the quality of the fund itself.
